Fyn Atwood is an artist and DJ/live act based in Munich.

He grew up hanging out in the city's record shops and attending various drum and bass warehouse parties in the early 2000s. Since then, Fyn Atwood, alias Philipp Hesse, has dedicated his life to sound. In 2012, he completed his music design studies at Deutsche Pop. His work and sound reflect various electronic styles that originated in the 90s and 00s. He began his journey as a bar/club DJ, initially presenting other artists' music at venues such as the legendary Rote Sonne, the Goldener Reiter and the Corleone Kunstbar. For over 6 years, he broke the ice with endless warm-up sets. He was part of the legendary online radio project VibeAlive.FM, which had a strong focus on English dance music. After years of research and studying music, he was increasingly drawn to his own studio, where he has been actively working on his own pieces since 2025. He is currently working on his second release, which will be released on the Terra Magica label in 2026.

Fyn Atwood is known for long, intense sets and uncompromisingly free DJing. As an experienced and passionate DJ and live act, he has a keen sense of the energy and dynamics of the dance floor. As soon as the needle touches the record, he takes unexpected paths, avoids the obvious and consciously takes risks – without losing his own line. Despite this openness, the groove always remains constant and driving.

Atwood always looks ahead and adapts to the changing musical preferences of different generations. In recent years, he has continuously developed his multifaceted sound and moves confidently through a broad spectrum from dub, experimental and techno to trip hop and ambient. He is at home in a wide variety of scenes, always with an unmistakable style and far removed from short-lived trends.

Thanks to his diverse projects and international connections, he has already performed on stages throughout Germany. A musical volcano for everyone who celebrates music for its own sake and loves to lose themselves on the dance floor. Having organised parties, exhibitions, sessions and open-air events throughout his life, he brings extensive experience in a wide variety of settings and party formats.

Atwood continuously experiments with new setups and thinks about ideal conditions for performances. In doing so, he constantly reflects on the role of DJs and live acts and maintains a holistic perspective on club culture and concert events of all kinds. For him, every little part of his productions is equally important – because it is only together that this special moment can be created.
